Barcode Toolkit

The Barcode Toolkit enables you to use PReS for the parameter driven generation of a wide range of 1D and 2D barcodes.

1D Barcodes

An optional module is provided as a Windows Dynamic Link Library (DLL) to be used with PReS. Using the 'BARCODE' instruction, the Toolkit converts data into the correct barcode sequence including sentinel characters and check digits where required.

Barcodes supported include:

• Code 2 of 5
• Code 11
• Code 39
• Code 128
• Codabar
• EAN
• UPC
• Code 32
• UPS
• Plessey
• MSI
• 2 and 4 state Postal Codes

Constructing barcodes through graphical instructions instead of fonts can provide greater dimensional flexibility. You can vary barcode height, ratio of wide to narrow strokes and single module width.

Fonts are supplied for the optional printing of clear data beneath the barcode.

2D Barcodes

PrintSoft also offers an additional module which enable PReS to generate 2D barcodes at production speeds, including:

• Datamatrix
• PDF417
• Maxicode
• Aztec, and
• QR codes

QR Code

The Japanese "Quick Response" code, the only widely used Japanese Language Barcode is available for use with Double byte versions of PReS.
