PReS
PReS is a software tool for designing and publishing personalized
documents. It enables you to create and format a document
or message and then print it or publish it electronically.

PReS
PReS is an integrated development environment designed specifically
for developing document systems solutions.
The document can include variable text, pictures, graphics,
barcodes and merge data. Using conditional logic, dynamic
documents are created where the entire layout varies with
the input, producing documents designed for each individual
recipient, rather than a “one-size-fits-all” document. (For
example, if the recipient is female and over 30 years of age
insert paragraph 1 and graphic 3, if the recipient is male
and less than 45 years of age insert paragraph 12 and image
5 etc).
PReS can then format the document for printing on any high-speed
laser printer and for electronic distribution. This enables
your documents to be published as printed pages and/or as
emails, web pages, PDF documents, SMS messages, XML files
and faxes. And full color can be used to maximise response
rates.

AFP/IPDS, Meta, Kodak Versamark IJPDS – and can quickly move print
job from one printer type to another, or proof on desktop
printer and recompile for production printer
- Online connections supported include Channel, SCSI, TCP/IP
and high-speed parallel
- Spool files and tape are supported for off-line print
operations
- Can also produce a wide range of bitmapped formats (TIFFG4
and 3D, PCX/DCX and JPEG)
- Documents can be electronically archived in proprietary
or standard formats, retrieved, viewed and reprinted
- Text and graphic output to files can be simultaneous with
print output
- Audit, error, statistics and tag files can be output and
integrated with print management and integrity control systems
- Auto generation of fonts and conversion of graphics
- Sort pages after composition and before printing
- Conditional flow control
