Power, Flexibility and Real Ease of Use
When examining your options for a personalized communication
software solution you need to carefully consider the ease-of-use
of the system. Virtually everyone claims that their software
has good usability but real ease-of-use requires power and
flexibility and not just a pretty WYSIWYG. If you are able
to do the simple jobs easily but the complex jobs are extremely
difficult (or not possible) then this is far from ideal.
What you need is software that can handle all your current
jobs and a seamless, upgrade path to handle future jobs,
which will frequently be more complex than existing ones.
PReS provides real ease-of-use
as it offers tools that cater for jobs at either end of
the complexity spectrum. PReS
Designer enables document design by non-technical staff
(with its WYSIWYG GUI), there is also a back-end, optimised-for-printing,
scripting environment to take over for the extremely complex
jobs. This makes PReS the most powerful and flexible document
composition tool available.
Many WYSIWYG products have a script to handle complexity
not possible in the WYSIWYG environment (even if this is
not advertised) but this script is frequently difficult
to learn and use (for example, C++ like). The PReS scripting
language has many instructions optimised for page layout
and logic and is therefore easy to learn and use in an effective
and efficient manner.
If optimum ease-of-use requires software to be powerful
and flexible, can the claim that PReS is the most powerful
and flexible personalization tool be justified? Don’t
take PrintSoft’s word for it but read how our customers
have used the software to successfully implement complete
document production systems. (Clicking on any of the links
below will take you to a more detailed description of the
project).
